Cut
Excellent · Very Good · Good · Fair · Poor
Cut determines how well a diamond reflects light, creating the iconic sparkle. An Excellent cut maximises brilliance and is considered the most important of the 4Cs. Luxcham selects only Excellent and Very Good cuts.
Colour
D (Colourless) → Z (Light Yellow)
Diamond colour is graded from D (perfectly colourless) to Z (light yellow/brown). The less colour a diamond has, the rarer and more valuable it is. Luxcham recommends D to H for the finest appearance in white gold settings.
Clarity
FL · IF · VVS1/2 · VS1/2 · SI1/2 · I1/2/3
Clarity measures internal inclusions and external blemishes. Flawless (FL) diamonds are extremely rare. Luxcham recommends VS1–VS2 and above for pieces worn daily, ensuring beauty visible to the naked eye.
Carat
1 ct = 0.2 grams · Price increases exponentially
Carat weight measures the diamond's mass. One carat equals 0.2 grams. Larger diamonds are exponentially rarer, which is reflected in their value. Luxcham offers diamonds from 0.25 ct to 5+ ct to suit every occasion.

Natural vs. Lab-Grown
At Luxcham, we deal exclusively in natural diamonds. Understanding the profound difference between a natural diamond formed deep within the Earth over billions of years and a factory-produced synthetic crystal is key to appreciating their true value.
Natural Diamonds
Earth's Masterpiece- Origin & Age: Formed 1 to 3 billion years ago, 100 miles beneath the Earth's mantle under intense heat and pressure, brought to the surface by ancient volcanic eruptions.
- Rarity: Natural diamonds are finite, precious resources. The volume of natural gem-quality diamonds recovered is steadily declining, making them increasingly rare.

Lab-Grown Diamonds
Factory Synthesized- Origin & Age: Manufactured in industrial laboratory reactors over a period of 2 to 4 weeks using Carbon-heavy gasses and high electricity (HPHT or CVD methods).
- Rarity: Unlimited supply. Factories can manufacture infinitely, leading to mass production and a lack of true physical exclusivity.
- Value Retention: Depreciates rapidly. The wholesale price of lab-grown diamonds has dropped by over 80% in recent years due to industrial scale-up, carrying minimal resale value.
- Inclusions: Display metallic or silicon inclusions from the laboratory seed and growth chamber, marking them as factory products under inspection.

Apply perfume, hairspray, and lotions before wearing your jewellery. Remove pieces before swimming, exercising, or household cleaning. Always put jewellery on last when getting dressed.
Clean your diamond jewellery regularly using a soft toothbrush with warm water and mild dish soap. Gently scrub, rinse thoroughly, and pat dry with a lint-free cloth. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners for jewellery with pearls or coloured gemstones.
